TRIM support/enabler for Mac

While we (still) wait for the TRIM support in Apple Mac OS, there are a few ways to manually get it to work. hardmac.com posted a step-by-step guide for enabling it manually – The universal solution to activate TRIM. If the TRIM support is really necessary at all is also a good question to get answers for. You can read an article posted by bi-tech.net on Mac SSD performance and TRIM in OSX.

Now you can enable the TRIM support just by downloading and running the following patch – TRIM enabler for Mac. Thanks to Oskar Groth, aka Cindori for his contribution.

Installed SSD drive on my MacBook Pro – AWESOME!!

The drive is a Kingston SSDNow V-Series GEN 2 – 128GB
SATA2, 2,5″ 200/160MB/s (read/write speed)

Like I said: AWESOME!!
