Sensor - Ride Height - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Warning: If the vehicle has air suspension, activate "Jack" mode on the touchscreen before raising and supporting the vehicle.

Removal

  1. Position the vehicle on a lift, but do not raise the vehicle at this time.
  2. Loosen the front LH lug nuts (torque 175 Nm).
  3. Remove the upper front LH arch liner (refer to procedure)
  4. Disconnect ride height sensor connector and harness.
  5. Remove the nut that secures the link to the upper suspension arm (torque 7 Nm).
    Caution: To prevent ball joint damage, always hold the ball joint pin with a wrench while loosening or tightening the lock nut.
  6. Remove the screws (x2) that secure the ride height sensor to the body (torque 7 Nm).
  7. Remove ride height sensor.

Installation

  1. Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
    Note: Clean the affected areas before installation.
    Caution: Replace all nylon-insert locknuts.
  2. Calibrate ride height sensors (refer to procedure)
