Glove Box (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove the RH lower instrument panel (refer to procedure)
  2. Remove the lower glove box panel by releasing the trim clips (x6).
  3. Open the glove box.
  4. Remove the 6 screws that secure the glove box.
  5. Release the glove box assembly.
    Caution: Do not damage the 3 harness connections that are attached to back of the glove box.
  6. Disconnect the 3 harness connections from the back of the glove box.
  7. Remove the glove box.

Installation

  1. Secure the 3 harness connections on the back of the glove box.
  2. Place the glove box into its assembly.
  3. Open the glove box.
  4. Loosely secure the 6 bolts.
  5. Hold the bottom of the glove box to bear the entire weight of the glove box.
  6. Tighten the lower center bolt.
  7. Tighten the left and right lower bolts.
  8. Tighten the upper bolts.
  9. Verify normal glove box operation.
