Press Sensor - Door - Exterior Handle - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove door handle for access (refer to procedure)
  2. Position handle assembly on a soft working surface.
  3. Remove door handle rear seal.
  4. Remove cable ties securing door pressure sensor and motor wiring.
  5. Release motor harness connector.
  6. Remove press sensor screw.
  7. Release door press sensor wiring connector.
  8. Using a suitable flat blade, release double sided tape and remove the sensor from the fork.

Installation

  1. Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following.
  2. Clean mating face of fork
  3. Remove backing tape from sensor and attach to fork.
  4. Install door press sensor fixing screw engaging the first ten threads.
