Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift

FRT No: 10000205

Warning: "Jack mode" must be activated on vehicles with air suspension before lifting the vehicle. Failure to do this might lead to suspension damage and could cause serious personal injury.
Note: Vehicles with air suspension might need the suspension to be set to "High" or "Very High" to allow the vehicle to be positioned and supported correctly on a vehicle lift.

Raise

  1. Position the vehicle centrally between the lift posts.
Warning: To avoid personal injury, use appropriate equipment when performing this operation.
Warning: Do not work on an incorrectly supported vehicle.
  2. Activate "Jack mode" if the vehicle has air suspension (refer to procedure).
  3. Position the front and rear lifting arm pads under the vehicle lift points shown.
  4. Adjust the lifting arm pads to the optimum height.
  5. Ensure that the frunk, liftgate, and all doors are closed, unless necessary for the work to be performed.
  6. Before raising the vehicle, check that the arms are correctly located and that no part of the vehicle is in danger of contacting the ceiling, tool boxes, or other items in the service area.
  7. Raise the vehicle slightly. Walk around the vehicle, checking that all 4 lift pads are correctly aligned to the vehicle body.
  8. Raise the vehicle to the necessary work height.
Caution: If the procedure requires the liftgate to be open while the vehicle is raised, closely watch the position of the liftgate as the vehicle is being raised to avoid contact with the lift mechanism, ceiling, or objects hanging from the ceiling.

Lower

  1. Before lowering, ensure that no tools, equipment, or other items are under the vehicle.
  2. Lower the vehicle.
  3. If the vehicle has air suspension, turn off "Jack mode" (refer to procedure).
