Module - Rear Door Electromechanical Controller - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the spine closing plate (refer to procedure).
  2. Disconnect the harnesses from the module.
    Tip: Mark the location of the connectors so that they are reinstalled correctly.
  3. Release the fasteners that secure the module (torque 1.5 Nm).

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

  1. Use the Toolbox Tesla Body Controls Configuration panel to configure the module.
  2. Working from the front row, press and hold the B-Pillar rear door switch until the door fully cinches closed.
  3. Update the vehicle firmware.
    Note: The rear doors must be closed while performing the firmware update.
