Brightwork - Upper - Front - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove the B-pillar applique (refer to procedure).
  2. Partially remove the primary seal to gain access to the screws that secure the brightwork to the seal carrier extrusion.

  3. Partially remove the upper brightwork seal.

  4. Remove the screws (x7) that secure the brightwork to the seal carrier extrusion (torque 2.5 Nm).
    Note: Components have been removed in this graphic to aid clarity.
  5. While holding down the brightwork, pull the rear lower corner of the brightwork away from the vehicle to release the retention clips (x2).
    Caution: Do not pull on the front lower corner of the brightwork; this can damage or warp the brightwork.

  6. Remove the front upper brightwork from the vehicle.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Tip: Carefully twist the upper brightwork seal away from the vehicle to expand the surface area of the seal. This makes it easer to install the brightwork.
