Active Spoiler Assembly (Remove and Install)

Removal

  1. Use the touchscreen to move the active spoiler to the extended position:
    1. Touch Controls.
    2. Touch Settings.
    3. Touch Service & Resets.
    4. Slide the "Spoiler" bar to Extend.
  2. Remove the middle liftgate trim (refer to procedure).
  3. Remove the LH and RH side liftgate trims (refer to procedure).
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the active spoiler motor.

  5. Disconnect the high mounted brake lamp electrical connector.

  6. On each side of the active spoiler, remove the nuts (x2) that secure the active spoiler stanchions to the hinges (torque 6 Nm).

  7. Lower the liftgate.
  8. Carefully lift the active spoiler assembly and remove it from the vehicle.
    Caution: Take care not to damage component(s).

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

  1. Ensure that the rubber gasket seals (x2) are properly seated before installing the active spoiler assembly.

  2. Use the touchscreen to cycle the active spoiler up and down. Ensure that it works properly.
