Reservoir - Windshield Washer (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove the LH and RH underhood aprons (refer to procedure).
  2. Disconnect the washer jet hose.

  3. Remove the push pin that secures the washer fluid filler neck to the LH headlamp support bracket.
  4. Remove the front LH wheel arch liner (refer to procedure).
  5. Disconnect the 12V electrical connectors from the windshield washer reservoir.

  6. Release the harness clips from the windshield washer reservoir.

  7. Remove the nuts that secure the reservoir to the body of the vehicle (torque 5 Nm).

  8. Remove the reservoir from the vehicle by maneuvering it through the wheel well.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

  • Transfer the washer pump to the new reservoir.
    Note: Inspect the O-ring for damage and replace if necessary.
  • Transfer the washer level sensor to the new reservoir.
    Note: Note installed position of components before removal.
    Note: Ensure that the level sensor is oriented correctly.
