Antenna - Satellite Radio (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove the headliner (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the center spine applique (refer to procedure).
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector for the antenna.
  4. Carefully release the antenna from the adhesive that secures it to the body.
  5. Pull the antenna harness out through the hole in the top of the body. Remove the antenna from the vehicle.
    Caution: Ensure that the harness does not catch on other connectors during removal.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

  • Use alcohol and a razor blade to remove all remaining adhesive.
  • Apply adhesion promoter before securing the new antenna.
  • After connecting the antenna harness, verify normal satellite radio operation.
