Drain the coolant from the old drive unit.

Release the 2 bolts that secure the jackshaft to the old drive unit (torque 30
Nm).

Remove all NVH padding except for the lower LH section.
Note: This section of padding cannot be removed while the drive unit is supported
by the crane.

Open the crate that contains the new drive unit. Set the lid on the ground so
that any padding is facing upwards.

Lower the old drive unit onto the lid.

Remove the crane cables from the drive unit.

Remove the lower LH section of NVH padding from the old drive unit.

Remove the coolant hose and pump from the old drive unit.

Resecure the crane cables to the old drive unit and lift it off of the crate
lid.
Caution: Be very careful not to damage the motor in the next step.

Working with at least 1 assistant, lift the new drive unit out of the crate and
set it on the crate lid.

Transfer the following components from the new drive unit to the old drive
unit:
- LH motor mount
- RH motor mount

Use the crane to place the old drive unit into the crate.

Install all NVH padding except for the lower RH section onto the new drive
unit.

Secure the crane cables to the new drive unit and raise it.

Install the coolant hose to the new drive unit.

Install the 2 bolts to secure the jackshaft to the new drive unit (torque 30
Nm).
