Air Spring Module - Rear - RH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Position the vehicle on a lift, but do not raise the vehicle at this time.
  2. Open both rear doors and the liftgate.
  3. Connect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle.
  4. Use Toolbox to depressurize the RH rear air spring.
  5. Disconnect 12V power (refer to procedure).
  6. Remove the upper RH parcel shelf support (refer to procedure).
  7. If equipped, remove the subwoofer (refer to procedure).
  8. If equipped, remove the rear duct.
  9. Remove any insulation that covers the fasteners for the nuts that secure the air spring module. Release the fasteners (x3) (torque 39 Nm).
  10. Loosen the RH wheel lug nuts.
  11. Remove the RH rear arch liner (refer to procedure).
  12. Release the nut that secures the LH rear sir suspension line to the air spring module (torque 2 Nm).
  13. Release the fastener that secures air spring module to the knuckle (torque 140 Nm).

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

  • Repressurize the air spring module.
  • Transfer the vehicle to a 4-post lift.
  • Torque all suspension components while the vehicle is at ride height.
