Trim and Carpet - Rear Trunk - Side - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the trunk floor carpet (refer to procedure).
  2. Remove the mid C-Pillar trim panel (refer to procedure).
  3. Remove the 3rd row seat assembly (refer to procedure).
  4. Hold the plastic trim panel in the location shown; pull the panel inboard to release the 3 trim clips, but do not fully remove the panel at this time.
    Caution: Do not damage the low voltage harness connection on the inside of the trim panel.
    Caution: Do not pull on the carpet portion of the panel. The plastic and carpet are removed together as an assembly.

  5. Disconnect the low voltage harness connector.
    Note: When performing this procedure on the RH side of the vehicle, disconnect the harness to the map light.
  6. While pulling up on the hook in the rear of the carpet, remove the carpet and trim panel assembly from the vehicle.

Install

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
