Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Remove and Replace)

Removal

Remove the 2nd row Seat Assembly (refer to procedure).

Installation

Warning: Ensure that 12V is still disconnected.
  1. Position the seat in the vehicle.
  2. Reconnect the seat harnesses.
  3. Reconnect 12V power.
  4. With Toolbox running, re-enter Seat Install Mode.
  5. Reinstall bolts for the rear of the seat in the following order. If any threads are damaged, discard the fastener and use a rivnut.
    • Bolts 1-4: 33 Nm
    • Bolts 5 & 6: 22 Nm

  6. Install new bolts for the front of the seat in the following order (torque 33 Nm):

  7. Use Toolbox to update or redeploy the firmware.
  8. Use Toolbox to run the Bitron Seat Diagnostic operation.
  9. Use Toolbox to run the Seat Calibration operation.
  10. Use Toolbox to run the Occupant Classification Re-Zero operation.
  11. Use Toolbox to run the Seat Install operation.
  12. Install a new carpet at the base of the seat.
  13. Reinstall all components that were removed for access.
