Mount - Motor - Side (Remove and Replace)

Removal

  1. Remove drive unit assembly:
  2. Using suitable lifting equipment, support the drive unit.
    Warning: To avoid personal injury, use appropriate equipment when performing this operation.
  3. Remove the bolt that secures the mounting to the subframe (torque 90 Nm).
  4. Maneuver the mounting from the subframe bracket and remove it.

Installation

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, except for the following:

Caution: Only fully tighten suspension nuts and bolts when the vehicle is on a 4-post lift and the suspension is in the ride height position.
  1. Maneuver the mounting into position. Install the bolt that secures the mounting to the subframe, but do not torque at this time.
  2. Install the bolts (x3) that secure the mounting to the drive unit (torque 22 Nm).
  3. Transfer the vehicle to a 4-post lift and torque the bushings (refer to procedure).
